Drishyam Tamil Remake faces trouble

‘Drishyam’, a Malayalam movie, achieved a huge success not only in M-town but also spread its wings outside Mollywood. The movie starred Mohanlal, one of the finest actors of Malayalam cinema. The movie was remade in Telugu and Kannada and came out as the box office hits.
Latest we hear is that Kollywood is ready to make a remake of this movie and the shooting would commence by August end. But as per the sources, Kerala court has stated its decision over the copyright issue of a movie remake.

Tamil remake of Drishyam starring great actor Kamal Haasan is temporarily stopped by Ernakulam Judicial First Class Magistrate Court. The movie is based on Satheesh Paul’s novel and he mentioned that he had discussed the story with the makers of Drishyam.

In the midst of this, Ernakulam Additional Sessions Judge V.S.Vasan issues a temporary notice saying if makers give 10 Lakh INR or equivalent guarantee to the court, there will not be any trouble for the Tamil remake.

The pooja function of Drishyam Tamil remake was on 16 July. The yet to be released movie is said to have been titled as ‘ Papanasam’. The movie will have Kamal and Gauthami in the lead roles.
