Mani Ratnam comes back with a Veteran

Buzz dong rounds in Kollywood circles is that ace director Mani Ratnam is ready to start his next project very soon and the technicians have signed the project
while the hero and heroine of the film are yet to be finalized.

As usual A.R.Rahman will score music for the film and interestingly the cinematographer of the film will make a combination that film buffs are longing for a long time. Veteran cinematographer P.C.Sreeram who worked with Mani in trendsetter films in the late 1980’s and in the 2000 super hit film ‘Alaipayuthe’ will be joining hands with the director after a gap of 14 years.

P.C.Sreeram has just completed director Shankar’s magnum opus ‘Ai’ and he is currently doing R.Balki’s Bollywood directorial ‘Shamitabh’ which has Amitabh Bachchan, Dhanush and Akshara Haasan in important roles.

Sources reveal that the ace lens man visited Chennai from Mumbai recently to meet Mani in his house to discuss the project. The cinematographer is impressed with the scrip narrated by Mani Ratnam and he has given his nod to take up the project.
The film is expected to go on floors by next month. Stay tuned for more updates on developments regarding the project.
