Gautham Karthik signs for A.R. Murugadas
Despite his first two films ‘Kadal’ and ‘Ennamo Edho’ becoming box office failures actor Gautham Karthick is currently one of the busiest actors in Kollywood with at least four projects in hand.
The most expected one among them is ‘Vai Raja Vai’ directed by Aishwarya Dhanush. Apart from this the young lad has signed another film that will be produced by A.R.Murugadoss.
It has been revealed that Gautham Karthik has signed on the dotted lines in to star in the lead role in a film to be produced under A.R.Murugadoss Productions. The film will be directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, an associate of Murugadoss who worked under him in ‘Ezham Arivu’ and ‘Thuppakki’.
Rajkumar confirmed the news stating that he is extremely thankful for this mentor for giving him this opportunity. The director said that he selected Gautham Karthik for the role of a 25 year old lead male role since his looks and age best suited the profile of the character.
Hinting about the storyline the director said the film will be a fictionalized version of real life incidents happened in the life of a 25 year old guy. He adds, apart from finalizing the title as ‘Rangoon’ nothing else has been confirmed regards to the rest of the cast and crew.
