It was a wobbly market for Ajith up until 2011, but the jinx was broken by 'Mankathaa' followed by continuous successes like 'Arrambam' and 'Veeram'. And the high pay is said to be coming from AM Ratnam's Suriya Movies for an upcoming project. Following this one, Ajith is to do one more for the same production house wherein, he stands to get a 20% hike on the previous sum. If the numbers are to be trusted as they are, then Ajith sure will become the highest paid actor in the history of Indian cinema. These hefty cheques may kick off a new trend where the focus will shift to the competition of who will be the highest earning actor.
